Samsung Galaxy A55 Review

Samsung has been manufacturing phenomenal mobile handsets for all price ranges. In March 2024, the company introduced yet another masterpiece in its A-series, which is by far one of the strongest and most innovative series launched by Samsung.

As a part of the A-series, Samsung Galaxy A55 is intelligent in terms of build and performance. It’s smooth, sturdy, and economical. How exactly – Read on to find out!

Samsung Galaxy A55 is proof of never changing a winning formula. The new Galaxy A55 is expected to launch in March 2024. The phone will be available in 128GB 4GB RAM, 128GB 6GB RAM, 128GB 8GB RAM, 256GB 6GB RAM, and 256GB 8GB RAM storage. The price of Galaxy A55 in Pakistan is expected to be around 139,999 Pkr.

Streamlined Sturdy Built

On the outside, A55 appears as an absolute delight. It comes in three colors, two of them being candy and two of them in classic colors. To name these shades, are Iceblue, Lilac, and Navy.

If you prefer aesthetic and kawaii looks, you’ll find Lilac and Navy best suited to your use. But if you don’t wish to stand out, you can go with Iceblue.

When held in hand, the phone may feel heavy. But it’ll never feel bulky. It weighs around 202 grams which is slightly higher than the average phone weight, i.e. 140-170 grams. However, its sleek dimensions give it a thin feel.

The plastic body steals premium feels. But it makes the body much more durable and scratch-resistant.

As for the screen, it measures around 6.5 inches with a resolution of about 1080 x 2340 pixels. In a standalone assessment, the screen of the Samsung Galaxy A55 is big enough for comfortable viewing. It offers images that are sharp enough and deliver decent detail. However, if you’re into graphics or photography, you might find the resolution a bit lacking and the colors differentiating. The difference between the shades isn’t prominent or visible. But for a learned eye, it isn’t difficult to detect.

Powerful Triple Camera

When the Samsung Galaxy A55 is in your hands, one thing that you’re likely to instantly notice is its camera. Samsung has made no attempts to hide or blend this powerful feature of the phone. Instead, the company chose to be bold about it, and one can feel the camera bump.

Apart from its noteworthy presence, it also has a killer performance. The back camera is about 50 megapixels with independent depth and clarity sensors. In broad daylight, you will find its back camera capturing soft, fairly detailed, and dynamic pictures. You’ll manage to capture what you see with your raw vision, but the colors may not be as vibrant and jumpy as iPhones.

5000 mAh Battery

Samsung Galaxy A55 has a battery life of about 72 hours, which means it will last around 3-4 days with minimal usage. As you increase the usage, you decrease its battery life. But even at its maximum consumption capacity, it lasts for at least 2-2.5 days.

We find this to be a particular relief because, at 139,999 PKR, one cannot expect to run out of charge now and then. The phone should remain intact and alive, at least in the pocket.

Plus, it comes with a 25W fast charging feature. But note that it doesn’t come with wireless charging.

Multiple Variants

Samsung’s budget-friendly is good-looking but also smart in its range. Each model comes equipped with an Octa-core processor and an Android 14 operating system. Both of these make the functionality of Samsung A55 butter smooth.

However, in terms of speed and storage, Samsung has offered five variants 128GB 4GB RAM, 128GB 6GB RAM, 128GB 8GB RAM, 256GB 6GB RAM, and 256GB 8GB RAM storage.
